Where every child discovers the joy of reading.

Reading support for elementary-aged kids, created by a reading specialist in Bozeman, Montana. The Discovery Reading Club gives your family games, hands-on activities, and printables that build real reading skills like phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Everything is grounded in the science of reading and designed to feel like an adventure, not a chore.

Reading should feel like an adventure, not a chore.

At The Discovery Reading Club, you get reading games, hands-on activities, and printables, organized by skill and grade. Most take about 10 minutes, and each one practices a real reading skill in a playful way.

Behind the scenes, every resource is grounded in the science of reading and structured literacy, informed by my reading specialist training and ongoing Orton-Gillingham certification. Your child gets playful practice, planned by an experienced reading teacher. They just think they are having fun.

Why families choose The Discovery Reading Club

  • Created by a certified reading specialist with degrees in Elementary Education and Secondary English

  • Completing Orton-Gillingham (IMSE OG+) training, a structured, multisensory way to teach reading

  • Grounded in the science of reading, so every game and activity builds a real skill

  • Built around play and practice, with games, hands-on activities, and printables

  • A curriculum designer at heart: I create every activity myself

How I work

Every child is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all program here. I build every resource around what kids actually need, using the tools and methods that fit how they learn.

Grounded in the Science of Reading

Everything I create is rooted in structured literacy and the science of reading. Phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension. I know how these pieces fit together, and every game and activity targets one of them on purpose.

My training in Orton-Gillingham methodology gives me a structured, multisensory approach that works especially well for kids who have not responded to traditional classroom instruction. I weave that structure into games and hands-on activities, so practice feels like play.

Games, Activities, and Printables That Work Together

The library mixes interactive games, hands-on activities you can do with simple materials, and printables. Your child can practice the same skill a few different ways, and short, regular practice, about 10 minutes at a time, can make each skill a little easier.

Flexible, Not Rigid

Some kids need intensive, structured practice. Others just need a boost in one area. The library lets you pick exactly the skill your child needs right now, at their grade level, and change course as they grow.
